Prior to joining the University of Mississippi, Dr. During the past five years directing the McLean Institute, Dr. Nylander has supported the efforts to institutionalize community engagement at the University of Mississippi. Nylander is known for developing and leading practical and multi-disciplinary programs in leadership and community development in the social sciences.
We are collaborating with leaders and experts across the Twin Cities to develop innovative and impactful programs for our students, community and university. Pienaar told the seminar that studies conducted in France five years ago showed that the most prolific researchers were those who had the highest levels of public interaction and engagement.

This nationally recognized program will serve veterans and help them understand how to transfer their military experience into viable start up or franchisee owner career paths. At the University of Mississippi, he directs the community engagement efforts at the McLean Institute. However, these uncoordinated activities were the result of individual initiatives rather than strategically planned, systematic endeavours.
His research is published in the Journal for Behavioral Health. His academic leadership focuses on developing and institutionalizing programs with an applied development emphasis. Many of these students remain employed throughout community and economic development organizations. Love served as the leadership director to a member student organization, the Delta Upsilon chapter at Kansas State University.
